I love math! And although people may have given you the answer first, I want to try to give an explaination. So let's give this a shot.
There's a simple acronym that might be useful when dealing with problems such as this. It goes like this:
P lease ---> the "P" stands for parentheses
E xcuse ---> the "E" stands for exponents
M y ---> the "M" stands for multiplication
D ear ---> the "D" stands for division
A unt ---> the "A" stands for addition
S ally ---> the "S" stands for subtraction
So this is called the "order of operations." Familiar with it? So first you perform the operations within a set of parentheses, then you would deal with any exponents, followed by mutiplication, then division, then by addition, and lastly by subtraction. And if you didn't have exponents (for example) you'd look to see if you could multiply, etc.
So you're given: -33(-4) + 6z + (-10). Looking through the whole problem, we see that 1. we don't have any thing to do within the parentheses and 2. there are not exponents. Now let's consider any mulitpication. Ahhh...there is some: negative 33 times negative 4:
-33(-4) = ?
-33(-4)= 132
Remember that a negative times a negative equals a positive.
Now our given problem looks like this for now:
132 + 6z + (-10)
Looking through the problem, we see that there is no more mulitplication we can do, so what about division? No, there is no division. Now how about addition? Oooo...I see some we can do: what about 132 plus a negative 10? Remember you add "like" numbers: 132 and 10 are "like" numbers while 6z and 10 are not.
When adding a negative to a positive, you take the larger number's sign (the 132 is larger and has a postive [+] sign) and subtract the smaller from the larger.
So: 132 - 10 + 6z = 6z + 122
6z + 122 is your final answer!

First, you multiply the -33 and -4. This equals 132, because the negatives cancel. You are left with:
132 + 6z + (-10)
Next, you add 132 + (-10). This equals 122.
This leaves you with 122 + 6z, which is the simplest answer you can get from the information given.

-33(-4)+6Z+(-10)=132+6Z-10
=122+6Z
DIVIDING IT BY 2 TO CONVERT IT TO THE LOWEST TERM
=61+3Z

Jonathan is wrong!!!! You cannot divide by two at the end because you DO NOT have an equation, just an expression. The answer of 6z + 122 is correct OR you could put it as:
2(3z + 61)

-33(-4) +6x + (-10) =
132 +6x + (-10)=
132 -10 + 6x =
122 +6x =
so, depending on how far you are in math, the next step might be
6x= -122
x = -122 div by 6
x+ -20.333
