Use alum. It's a spice used in pickling, and it dries out a canker sore. Makes you pucker to, but it works good. You can buy it in the spice aisle at the supermarket.

The herb sage is good. Fresh sage, puncture a leaf first and then place on the sore.

rinse your mouth out with a salt water solution and start taking a stressplex vitamin ( straight vitamin b and is over the counter) my dr told me about it when i was getting them from stress says that viatmin b cuts them down and since i have been taking it for four years i havent had another one.
