They numbed my tongue when I got it pierced. The healing hurt more, only when I ate. Also, my tongue got swollen, but it only lasted for 2-3 days. It was worth it. Not once did I regret it

I've been piercing for about 12 years now, and the answer to that question is always relative to the person getting pierced. You are cutting your flesh. Anytime you get an injury, accidental or on purpose, there is some pain involved. Generally speaking, though, pain goes away, and you won't remember it later.

I got mine done about 4 months ago on a dare and I passed out from the pain (and anxiety). It hurt so bad for the next week. I almost threw in the towl and took it out but it started to feel better and I quit talking like I had a speech problem. Its a good thing to because I would never do it again

okay... well the number one reason why girls get toung peircings is so they put ticklers on them... you might already know this but thats a little vibrating stud you wear to make blowjobs more... interesting sooo if you want people to think your a whore... sure i mean it has to hurt they are shoving a freaking needle through the most apt area of your body... it has a really high infection rating because your mouth has so much bacteria and if its done wrong your toungue can be paralized... your choice proceed with caution

you DO want to be able to make out right... not something a paralized tongue could do...

It will sting for about a second but nothing that will cause you to get nightmares.

You will have to keep it clean (a lot of mouthwash)

it will probibly swell as well.

The worst thing about getting mine pierced was not being able to chew my food like i wanted too for a few days. but after that everything was fine.

It swelled up but didn't hurt like i had expected it too.

From what I heard, you'll have to watch what you eat for a little while and be careful when brushing. It could be kind of nasty, I'm not going to lie.

Your tongue will be swollen and may be harder to talk until it fully heals.

It depends on the person. I know some people who thought they were dying when they got it done, yet I know some people who was okay after it. Most people I know say they felt minor pain thou. Im thinking of getting my done too. Youll most likely feel some pain at first but after getting ice on it youll wont be able to feel it that much.

YES it hurts like a SOB but only for 5-6 days. take ibuprofen for pain and to minimize swelling. i've had mine for 6 years now. it's totally fine. not half as bad as when i pierced both my nipples...OUCH!
