Thanos is omnipotent. What can he do with those powers? The answer to that is really quite simple: Anything he wants. Anything. He is incapable of error. Any result that displeases him he can simply reverse. There is nothing he needs to worry on, for he is Thanos. And Thanos is supreme. Supreme.
Iron Man on the other hand is a wimpy man clad in a clunky robo-suit.

Even though I like Tony Stark he's a very interesting character and has cool gadgets. Thanos would kick his *** becasue he's a freaking GOD.
