I went there when I was around 4 or 5 for the first time and I just thought it was amazing. Seeing it for the first time is just one of those things that will amaze you. I don't think I could ever forget that trip.
I think that the 8 year old will have a better understanding of what it is and get more educational value out of it. While the 5 year old will just simply be amazed by everything.
I did have some interest in space and spaceships at the time, so that could also be one reason why I enjoyed it. But, if you think it is something that would interest your kids, I think they would like it. If they enjoy children museums, I think they would also enjoy the Kennedy Space Center.

if the 5 year old likes toys that are like space ships and things like that then yes he would love it, the 8 year old should have a great time to, at 8 every thing is fun and interesting, as long as its not just a museum. but the space center is a cool place, no matter the age.

Unless they're into space stuff, it would be boring for them. There is so much more fun stuff to do in central Florida than the Kennedy Space Center. If they're the museum type, they'll like the Space center.

Well it depends on a few things.... mostly what your two kids like and don't like. Are your kids boys? Girls? A mix? Are they interested in big spaceships or anything like that? They do have a lot of great things for younger kids. For instance, they have life sized replicas of space shuttles that people can run around in.... I have always seen kids having a ball with that. There are so many things for them to see and do and if all else fails, you see more alligators on the drive out there than anywhere else! So yes, I'd recommend it. But maybe ask your kids what they would think about it. Pull it up online and do a little searching to feel out if its something they'd like to do.

I went when i was 8, and it was really cool! You get to go inside an actual space shuttle!! They have a 3D imax show which is a must to see. There is the rocket that went to the moon up on the roof. There is also the car that walk on the moon! It is really cool and educational (in a fun way). Hope you have lots of fun =)

If you are into things like stars, planets, asteroids, meteors, want to know how rocket flies, wants to know how living in zero gravity is like, want to know how earth looks from high up, Kennedy Space Center will be fun for any age.

Only if they enjoy a lot of sand, everything else is aluminum and other metals. Give them a shovel and a pail, and they won't be bothered by all the technical details that is always going on. However, if you are there during a lift off of a space shot, they may enjoy the rocket blaze when it lifts off. Save money on gas, stay home, buy sparklers. That would probably please them just as well.

If they are into space I would say so but if they have no interest in space I'm not sure. If you're going to FL I'd check out Disney, Universal, SeaWorld (all in Orlando) or Busch Gardens (in Tampa) instead.

As a kid, I thought it was really great. All kinds of stuff to learn and play with. But, you know your kids - are they the nintendo generation or are they able to be inspired by dreaming?
