It's better to just be yourself.
If someone doesn't like you because you're a geek, then they're probably not worth your time. I think geeks are cool, they make a lot of money or are famous-Bill Gates, Stephen King, Donald Trump, Nikki Giovanni (poet), Maya Angelou, Stephen Hawking, Marilyn Vos Savant, Sally Ride, etc. Some "cool" people are not very smart and end up being drunks/slobs later in life because they did not use their full potential.

Hmmmm, if you're a 'geek' then however u choose to live would be 'living like a geek'. Maybe geeks do live like cool people......whatever that means.

Be the Geek. Embrace your geek. Be smart (you obviously are) but also, BE Yourself. You sound like the real you is more geeky than that phony 'cool' persona.

I live my life the way I choose. I don't care if people like me or not.
So who cares if one is a geek or cool. Besides most geeks are way smarter than they get credit for.

On the whole, the folk that were cool in highschool will usually end up (in adulthood) working for the folks who were geeks in highschool...
