Reading the comments defending the lies of the republicans (who control both houses of congress, JAY) is to be shielded from responsibility for the results of these lies. Also, critical thinking involves weighing both sides of an issue neutrally and then applying logic to separate the false from the true. I have yet to see this applied by republicans who come into an argument already convinced of the outcome.
For some people the idea of being wrong cannot be tolerated by their world view. You can identify most of these people by the way they respond to attacks on this world view. They attack the person they are arguing with instead of the facts. This is called an ad homonym logical fallacy and it is the most favored attack of republicans of all stripes.

Congress and the house make most of the decisions on policy. That my friend would be from both parties. Unfortunatly every president comes under scrutiny in many instances when they are not soley responsible for the governments actions as a whole.
My question to you is why do people believe the media who slant the news to fit their agendas? Is this a lack of critical thinking and people are unable to seperate falacies from fact? For example television polls that say the presidents rating is at 38% and only like 14 people participated in the poll. Might that be a true cross sample of how Americans really feel. When you hear poll results you should really look at the amount of participants and how the questions were asked. At times Clinton did no better in polls either. Or most any president for that fact.

It may surprise you, but as a Bush supporter, I am not okay with being repeatedly lied to.
So when I see wholly negative press about the war in Iraq, I do get angry. We're literally rebuilding an entire country from the ground up. We're shoring up their deteriorated infrastructure, building new schools and digging new sewers, helping them create a new democratic and representative government, and create a police force.
Of course, liberals can only gripe.
When I read misleading articles about how the NSA, which is gathering information about suspicious call patterns that suggest ties to terrorism, I get angry. These pinheads act as if George Bush is hunched over his desk listening to your phone calls to Aunt Sally in Des Moines.
The program is not about listening to any calls. It's about identifying international call PATTERNS that the computer identifies as cause for concern.
When I hear liberal babble criticizing the No Child Left Behind Act, I get angry. For once, a President is requiring that standards be met. His detractors only come up with excuses.
Yeah, you're right. I get upset with being lied to.

Bush did not lie about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. He acted on the information he had at the time. If Sadam didn't have them he shouldn't have kicked out the UN weapons inspectors.
There are alot more Bush supporters out there than you think. Don't believe all the poles and the liberal media. No polsters have ever asked me what I think.

Lied about:
Nobody knew the levees would give way.
Reasons for going to war with Iraq.
There's two.
Why are they okay? Because he plays into their anger about the world and their limited IQs. For those who make big incomes, he plays into their ability to maintain as much of that income as possible.

I think it is because the ones that are left are them most mentally diminished of those that voted for him in the first place, they are quite easily fooled. Just mention God, and George Bush in the same sentence, and they get a tear in their eye. After that you can follow it with any lie and they will believe it.

Do you know how you can tell WHEN the president lies? that be MY FRIEND each time YOUR PRESIDENT open his mouth SIR!
There is a character trait for which you can recognizes a republican; they ALWAYS blame the victim for the evil they have caused.

to answer the first commenter's question, he lied about there being weapons in Iraq and also he lied about the reason we went into Iraq. He lied about many other things. He said he cared about the muslim people, so why is he killing them again???
to answer the asker's question, because either they are stupid and want to see all muslims die, or because they are just plain evil just like him!

I've been a staunch christian republican, but the repeated lies, disrespect for truth, hypocrisy about ethics, the killing of thousands of innocent people, has me questioning whether Bush is a true christian. I'm wavering....
