just front resting my hands on the inside while typing, I have these imprints that seem to stain the laptop... is there a way to clean this?

A soft cloth or cotton ball slightly dampened with isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol). Do not have it dripping wet, just damp...works great for cleaning the keys on the keyboard also.

WD 40 or electrical cleaner safe for plastics, check on the can but WD 40 usually gets oil off safely. my husband worked in a oil refinery and now works in a chemical refinery and frequently has/had this problem

Mr. Clean erasers work great and it's a dry cleaner so it wont gunk up your key pad

Take windex spray it on a tissue nd wipe it . Always works ( ;
