Work at it no matter what. be loving and caring and devoted. Honest y and communication is very important and love and charish your spouse. Do not be selfish and treat each other the way you want to be treated and forgiveness is the key! Do not try to change your spouse just work on changing yourself to be the best spouse you can be!

The only word being used incorrectly here is "forever". There is no such thing in a marriage, but you could make an effort to have a long happy marriage. Even then, all marriages will have up's and down's, but if confronted together before things get critical, they can be resolved. Being able to handle dreaded issues and moving on by learning from them should work for having a long lasting marriage. Wish you all the luck & happiness.

Never take it for granted! Don't settle for the boring routines, keep it fresh and full of surprise. Alway's remember why you fell in love, what the attraction for you was. We all change on the outside, but few change what is on the inside. Everyone disagrees from time to time, learn to give in. It's not who wins the battle....but who you gotta live with the next day! True respect for one another, trust and never ever go to bed angry at one another, share in each others interests don't keep too many secrets, if you must keep something secret try to avoid having it be something that could potentially strain your relationship in a marriage it is very important to laugh, together and at each other . Always remember, the family that prays together, stays together.

work at it. No marriage is perfect but when there is a problem. Face it and remember, Love, Honor and Negotiate...That is our key to it all . We have been married 25 yrs

i hope i could have known it myself... the nearest we could do is by being in courtship stage even if married already.
- understand each others flaws,
- forgive and forget when the other have faults, no one is perfect then.
- continue to love each other and show them everyday, and to have no other affair than your partner in life.
