Everybody in the American League West has a chance to win the division, which is the weakest in the league. The Angels will get a big lift if Bartolo Colon returns to form after coming off the disabled list, but they'll need somebody other than Vladimir Guerrero to start hitting. They'd better pray that Mike Napoli can get the job done behind the plate, because right now Bronson Arroyo has a higher slugging percentage than Jose Molina. The Angels have the starting pitching, with Lackey, Escobar, Santana, Colon, and one of the Weavers in the rotation, but they need to bring in a bat or two and some bullpen help.

Highly unlikely, but possible. They need Jeff Weaver to wake up or to trade him and get his bro up from AAA. They need the A's to slump, but right now that seems impossible. A 20 game stretch against the Royals would help. Maybe they can add a bat, but I just don't know if they can catch the A's now and it seems the ChiSox or Tigers are going to the Wild Card with the other team winning the division. Don't give up hope as we aren't even at the All Star break yet, but they really have some mountains to climb.

Yes, but we have to trade for another bat, and we have to stop making so many stupid errors.
