Saw an show where this question was answered...
When they are just seen in the background, they make up conversations, but because of the script being followed by the actors, they are required to just move their mouths, no sound.

Usually, extras in movies are simply told to act natural. They aren't given scripts, they just pretend to chat about anything. I've seen a few movies though that the editing was bad in and you can see the extras ogling the main performers.
Amateurs.

They aren't even really talking about anything they are just making up stuff or reading from a script because it dosen't matter what they say you can't hear them anyways they are just there to fill the part of people in the background! lol

Sometimes they are just chatting but that does not come out so well on film so there are certain words that you can repeat over again that make 'background conversation' look more realistic. From memory, I think 'parsley' is one and 'rhubarb' is another... don't know the others.

They are extras, and likely chatting but not allowed to be heard in the movie, unless they belong to the Actors League and the story of the movie or tv show requires them to speak.

Yea intercourse sells even even though it would not make it suited..I agree..each and every thing is extraordinarily a lot per intercourse and it is particularly disgusting. some women have lost all understand and admittedly, i'm sick of turning on the television and seeing talkshows approximately "who's my toddler dad" and a girl getting her 5th paternity try. experience undesirable for those little ones and am somewhat afraid for the subsequent era. This fires me up yet what's even worse, are video clips like observed, Hostel, etc..video clips that basically coach gore to the max..as long as my newborn is around me, he can not journey that crap that folk call entertainment..

Usually they are carrying on a conversation not just blabbing.
It doesn't look real when people are just mumbling.
It may not be a verbatim script, but it is usually a back and forth talking situation.

If they are just background, they are probably reciting nursery rhymes. If they are scripted, well, they are reciting from the script. They get more money for that.

I've always wondered that. The script probably says, 'Talking about football in backround' or something stupid. They probably make it up or just move their lips.
