I first injured my hamstring about 5 weeks ago, it really hurt that first time. I couldnt walk for about 10 mins. The first thing I did when i got home was to put ice on my hamstring (back of hamstring right under my butt) I thought i was ready to play today but in the first sprint that i did i felt something snapped, it doesnt hurt nearly as much but i dont know what to do, I really love playing soccer and I'd really apreciate any kind of advise.

Regular deep tissue sports massage can help prevent muscle strains by identifying tight knots and weak points in the muscle.
Conditioning and strengthening the muscles not only the hamstring muscles but the lower back as well.
Ensure the lower back is working properly and has good mobility as pain and tension can be referred into the hamstring muscles, weakening them and making them prone to tearing.
Use a compression bandage or heat retainer until you feel no pain.
See a sports injury professional who can advise on rehabilitation and strengthening.
Ice, compress, elevate, use crutches for 3 to 5 days.

Sorry, there is no quick fix. Injections will just ease the pain, and pain tells you that something is wrong. Rest....is the only answer. You need to rest it, and rest it long enough not only for the pain to go away, but for the pull heal properly. Your coach should be able to give you better advice than you can get here.

well look into the holistic side of health care not just accupuncture but also reiki and other approaches to inner healing. it will speed up your recovery process to large degrees but mostly you will still need to take a lot of time to recover. as part of the approach look into your body and see the part that is hurt and with as much love as possible send it warm glowing energy through your mind by thinking about it that way.

You should get it checked out. If you can't sprint yet and it's been 5 weeks, you some issues.

Alternate Hot & Cold packs, but don't rush or you could re-injure, maybe worse the second time...
