try looking in the "my documents/my received files" folder.
just keep going deeper and deeper till you encounter some xml files.

double clicking on the xml files should open up your chats in internet explorer as a webpage.

the archive is saved to whichever computer you are using.

not sure of which folder it is saved to, but to turn off message archiving (which is always a good idea if you don't want other people to find your chats), do the following:

open the Yahoo messenger application.
on the top, click on "contacts"
click on "message archive"
click on "message"
click on "preferences"
select "no, do not save any of my messages"
select "apply", then "close"
x out of the window

you now will not save any of the messages that travel through Yahoo messenger.

have fun!
