Every so often when i have my aol messenger list up, a commerical starts to play.?

I leave the internet on 24/7 and out of the blue a commerical starts and it scares me out of my wits. Is there any way to turn the volume off on the aol messenger?

Sadly the only way is to turn down your computer sound, the commercials are made to be very very intrusive.

you can turn off the volume of your computer
go to control pannel
select sounds, speech and audio devices
chance speker settings to mute
