I live in Pensacola. There are still some places that are rebuilding and recovering from Ivan 2004 and Dennis 2005. My town is okay for the most part. The beach still has a way to go in places - mostly in the homes. Inland there are a few homes that haven't been repaired probably due to insurance battles and/or a lack of funds. My Aunt and Uncle had a weekend home on the bay that was washed off the pylons, and they are just now starting to rebuild. If you want or need more information you can contact me by email if you'd like.

My dad lives there and I am staying for the summer. It is getting better but the beach is still not up to its best yet. Most of the places have rebuilt and reopened but not all. And like someone else mentioned there are still problems with homes. The house next to my dads still doesn't have a roof because they are having trouble with their insurance company. Its kinda unsightly in the upscale neighborhoods! Its still worth visiting though, Pensacola is a great place! =)
