I used to get A LOT of discharge when I was pregnant! is it like whitish and a weird smell?? wweeeewwww I use to hate the smell. When I was about to be do, it was like 3 in the morning and I woke up cuz I felt like I got my period, and I thought maybe it was my water, but then I went to the bathroom and when I was about to sit in the toilet, I got this discharge, really thick, with a really dark yellowish color with like dark red. So when I went to the hospital they told me that was my mucuz plug........so I don't think that that discharge is your mucus plug, is cuz is normal to get that discharge, just wear panty liners and you'll feel more confortable. Try getting the book, "What to expect when you're expecting" If you don't want to buy it, go to your closest library, it's a great book; it tells you the symptoms you're suppose to be getting, how the fetus should look, what size it is, and so on....I have it, and when I was pregnant I used to work at a Library and I would read it there too. Actually go to the Library, you'll find a lot of books on pregnancy........

The mucus plug remains intact throughout your pregnancy, it sits behind the cervics and seals the uterus shut until the water breaks and you go into labor. Its an actual plug, so its not like it oozes out without you realizing thats what it is.
If the doctor says you're fine then dont worry about it. Your hormones can cause you to produce extra mucus, and lubrication in the vaginal area. It might last clear through your pregnancy, or it might subside. If you're not an at risk pregnancy, and you're in a stable relationship, i would say put it to use and have some preggo sex. theres nothing better than that.

you will have an increased amount the entire pregnancy, theres nothing worng with it unless you notice a bad smell or bloody show. You mucus plug can be lost and regrown at anytime during the pregnancy but that is very thick and stringy sometimes a little pinkish with clear strands never red just so you know for future reference

A white discharge is normal during pregnancy. It will increase until delivery. As long as it is white and has no bad odor, it is nothing to worry about. However, if it is yellow, green or thick and smells, see your ob asap.
If you want info on the mucus plug, please email me (click on my avatar) but you aren't anywhere close to experiencing that yet.

I am 30 weeks and I have progressively been having more and more my whole pregnancy. As long as it is just white, it is called "leukhorrea" and is perfectly fine. If it starts being bloody, call your doc immediately. If it gets too bad just wear a pantyliner.

thats the thing that holds the baby in place honey. you need that you can't see it from the outside of your body anyway if you can ge thee to doctor and ask ask ask all kinds of questions as to why you have this?, where does it come from ?, and if you aren't satisfied find another doctor. to me a doctor should never discount a question posed to him / her. each question should be taken as seriously as it was asked. we are not doctors therefore we ask questions to get an answer that will help us and ease our minds you really donot need stress right now.
