I watch it but I hate it, I hate myself for watching it. As far as i can tell it has no redeming features but still I'm a little addicted. The actings terrible, I don't think the writers have heard of plots and its ever so sickly sweet and goes on about how god will work everything out... would ya feck off!

Justify it's existence to me if you can without mentioning the fact that over the years it has included a fair number of hot men in its cast.

I know I have said I'm addicted but I'm ashamed of that from what i've read it would seem some people aren't

It seems to aim itself at teens and adults, although i could be wrong. Why would they want "clean" shows? Anyway theres a difference between clean and the crap 7th heaven spouts.

It's like passing a car wreck and you can't help but stare...it has a cast who can't act, horrible plots, the implausability of a Christian minister who doesn't mention Jesus...I could go on but I'll stop there.

I think it is the whole element of the perfect family. Not just that, but to that you must add, the perfect family who is more messed up than your own. I mean, they are "perfect," yet they have way more problems than my life. And weirder ones too.

I am addicted to it as well, have been since the first season. I'm with you, I have no idea why.

Another redeeming quality could be its length. It has lasted so long so you get to know the characters rather well. Hate them or not, they even feel like they become your own family in a way.

Sometimes it is so absurd that it is just down right funny though. I mean, how could you not laugh and make fun of the episode "Red Socks." Which is the musical by the way. It is so awful that it is great. It's like a cheesy horror. You know you shouldn't like it because it is so bad, but because it is so bad you can't help but like it.

The morals are another thing. I mean, who among us would not like to be a bit more moral? I think by watching it or subconscious makes us think that we are just for watching it. So, we get the morality boost without having to do anything but watch some entertaining TV.

I watched it because it is refreshing to see a show not based on "reality" or lying, whoring, stealing, etc. Yeah, it was a little cheesy and yes, the acting could have definately been improved over the years, but overall, it was just a nice, wholesome show. Plus, Simon and Martin were hotties. ;-)

Maybe it has sublimal messages that some people choose not to ignore or can't ignore.... It makes sense, because I find 7th Heaven worse than...hmmm, Full House, yes definitely worse than Full House...

it is one of the only "clean shows left" on local TV --- other then that there are reality shows, or things like Law and Order type shows -- it is a good show to watch with kids of all ages
