I have tried everything to erase two different web addresses from my address bar, I mean everything. I have went to tools and cleared cookies, history, and files. I have did the AUTOCOMPLETE step but when doing that it than prevents any addresses to be saved. I have went to accessories and than to system tools and did the disk clean up. So far, everything has not worked on those particular two addresses. The steps DO erase other addresses but not the two that I am talking about. Please, someone answer me with viable answer on what to do. I really am surprised as to why this problem really is so hard to figure out. Anyway, thanks and please help.

Have you visited the sites recently? Even if you've cleared history, if you still have a set number of days to keep something in the history, it will still be there. Set the number of days to zero. Also, have you tried clearing your cache? this is seperate from the history or cookies.

You might also want to make sure you clear all forms. if you are also getting your previous serches appearing when you attempt to use search engines, this may be your problem.

Also, what are you running? IE, firefox, are you working from an AOL browser? that might make a little bit of difference.

I had a similar problem and it turned out that I had the address that I couldn't get rid of listed in my favorites...I didn't even realize that it was there. Maybe that is the issue? If not, I'm sorry. That is the only thing I can think of.

It seems as though those websites may have installed a harmless virus on your computer. Try running a virus scan on your computer. If you really want to get rid of those web sites reinstall your computer (do this at your own risk; it will get rid of all your files).
