I think the best time is at least a year and a half - a little more or a little less - but definitely not sooner

It is recommended to wait at LEAST a year before getting married to reduce the risk of divorce. The reason why you should wait a year before getting married is to really know someone before planning on spending the rest of your life with them. Part of this is because people change like the seasons and the weather. If you've only knew and dated for 6 months and everything is going great and then you rush into marriage and then by the 7th month your spouse John or Jane starts getting moodier or starts throwing tantrums out of the blue or whatever reasons and by the 8th month they get worse and so on. Now I'm not saying that this will or won't happen just giving you an example and what to avoid if you end up rushing into marriage. That's why it's better to wait a year to see how things are between the 2 of you.

There is no set date. I mean I've heard of people getting married after 4 years of dating, and some after just 6 weeks. It's just important to know what your getting into, and that you are ready. Whether it 's 4 years or 6 weeks, neither one is guaranteed to last. So it's really important that you know the person and that you are committed to one another. If you feel like you're ready then go for it.
Follow you heart, but take your brain with you

We'll, it just depends on what YOU want and hopefully your future spouse will feel the same. I've been with my fiance for about seven years, and we are planning to get married next year. We didn't plan this, it just happened that way...too many things came up and we had to get our plans in order. My only advice...if you date for years, be ready for your family and friends to bug the hell out of you on when you're going to get married. I have to hear it EVERY day...

"WHY?" "What's the rush?" You should not be in such a hurry.. Settle down and have fun....... Especially if you are too young, which I am thinking may be the case since you are asking this question......... S L O W Down........ "Little chicky!"
