Yup. I was brought up on a ranch. Now my husband and I have a cow/calf operation raising cattle for beef. I spent every weekend in May and the first part of June on a horse. I'm getting kinda long in the tooth for that, I was really SORE, but I had a good horse under me and it was still fun. We also raise quarter horses and my job is to get the colts gentle and break them to lead. The horses are my favorite part and though the guys think I'm nuts, I like to fix fence. The work is hard and hot and dirty, but I love it anyway.

I used to live on a ranch, and then i had to move to the city. now i board my horse. I still visit my grandpa's ranch and help him move herds of cows around though. Anyway, yes i know what you're talkin about, sugar. What's the issue?

I was on the livestock judging team. I've shown heifers, pigs, lambs, and many other animals. I'm thinking about working on a cattle ranch for a while after I get a degree in Animal Sciences this fall.

I'm just a good ol' fashioned country girl. I work on a Thoroughbred breeding farm with the mares and foals. We have to train the foals to lead, stand for farrier, just basic ground manners. Other than that I hunt, fish, and drive a big ol' truck.

Absolutely not.

I do own horses and love rural life. I just want nothing to do with making money over compassion, acting like a "man" over using manners & good sense, doing things for thrills, or ignoring animals pain/suffering.

I help my Dad move cows every weekend. It's fun. I know exactly what you're talking about. Born and raised with it.
