Before I get another nasty reply, accusing me of cheating and God knows what all, let me make it clear ...I KNOW the answers. I simply enjoy contests. Those of you who have expressed your interest and enjoyment of my questions understand this already. The rest of you...loosen up. I'm not a 9th grader hoping you will do my work for me. I'm a 57 year old hoping you will have some fun remembering or looking up some facts. As always, transferred text will be disregarded, for it's laziness. Thank you.

It started on July 3, 1863, the last day of the Battle of Gettysburg, with hundreds of cannons from both sides firing along the lines, starting around 1 p.m. Pickett"s Charge last less than an hour after breaching the Union's first line of defense, but were forced back soon after as Union troops gathered on their right flank and stabilized the center of the line. The battle ended early on July 4th in rainfall when the armies observed an informal truce and collected their dead and wounded. Lee's army retreated.

Pickett survived the charge unscathed.

I know the cannonade started at around 1 pm and lasted for and hour and a half, the charge i believe was less than an hour, wasn't it. Pickett only fell off his horse, so his wounds were minor....
