I have stopped breastfeeding my son about a week ago, and I'm anxious to see how horrible and small my breast are going to be. How long does it usually take for them to go down to the size they are going to be? Does it take months, years?

Usually it happens pretty quickly--2 weeks to a month or so. You may continue to produce milk for several months (up to a year). If you keep "checking" on whether there is any milk being produced, it could last nearly forever.

Usually it will take a few weeks to 2 months. They are disappointing to see after having a nice firm chest all during pregnancy and then while breastfeeding. Good luck.

They usually start to go down as the milk dries up, after that it might take a little longer for them to fully go back to size or shrink down, if you dont want them to shrink then you should try a breast enhancer, I have done that after each of my kids and they have never gotten too small or bad looking, just a suggestion and it does work but wait until your milk supply is fully gone/

I went from a D to a B in a matter of 3 weeks after I weaned. Expect that just because you wean in a matter of of a week or so, you will still have milk and could possibly leak. I'm 3 weeks past when I weaned and I still have milk if I squeeze. As far as the boobs... I hate mine now. LOL :(...

no matter if you had to wean your toddler chilly-turkey, it really is nevertheless no longer a competent theory to wean your breasts without caution -- you quite dont' choose mastitis on correct of although different medical complications you're dealing with. Pump your breasts (discard the milk if it really is hazardous on your baby) and gradually wean from the pump.

I dont think i can answer this to well but mine never went down...i can say however to make sure you watch your calorie intake now that you are not going to be producing milk, if you experienced a good weightloss during breast feeding and ate healthy, then you should cut your calories in half or more, your body wont be burning the calories so fast now,

I think that everyones experience is different and it depends how long it takes for our milk to dry up completely. I stopped breastfeeding almost 6 months ago now and I still 'leak' occasionally ...... I guess it just depends on your body
