I think Beauty contests are just silly and boring. However I don't believe it's a fair comment to have them banned. I think it would be impossible to go around and ban everything that is considered degrading. Then again, if you are meaning Beauty contests where children are involved and possibly are doing the Beauty contest thing just to make parents happy I would say that is a fair comment. But the contests where they are grown women walking around in a bathing suit and heels....they made that decision to look goofy all on their own.

Personally, I would not mind a beauty contest BUT when a girl proposed to the guys in our class to hold a GUY BEAUTY CONTEST to raise funds, all the guys were really upset, fuming and insecure. That's an indication of how a number of women may feel.

No if u choose to enter and don't win, then u just need to suck it up..if u dont like them dont compete or watch pagents simple as that
