Traffic annoys me less when I listen to Bocelli....
I like all types of music. Listening to it is almost transcending at times. I become more calm.

to some people, such as myself, it can really affect alot about the person. i've noticed that people who listen to rap/hiphop type music tend to be kinda slutty and sex oriented. a lot of people who listen to rock with a negative message in the lyrics are a bit pessimistic and not very friendly to everyone. but not everyone lets their music affect anything about how they treat people... for example, some of the most cheerfull people in the world could listen to rock.. it just depends on the person and how open minded they are.

I know that listening to some sad music when I'm feeling depressed helps to allay it a bit. I think its consolation to know that someone else felt as bad as I do.
As far as making me do things.. none of my music has like.. commands like go commit suicide. And seriously, I wouldn't listen if it did. I think people who blame the music when kids do stupid things are taking it too far. It may be an influence, but lifestyle is alot more potent in those terms.

I believe that music can have a huge impact on the way one feels, thinks, reacts, etc. Especially when the words relate to the person listening to the song. Everyone relates to music in some way. After all, people have been known to kill just b/c of lyrics to a song......Weird but fact......Others fall in love with listening to lyrics.....That's life........(*_*)

If I'm angry, I listen to Metal to match my mood. I also listen to Metal to get me pumped up for sports (or angry). If I feel my anger affecting my mind and heart rate, I will listen to some classical stations to calm me down. It has to be just music though - no singing. Opera and folk singers drive me a bit bonkers.

Yes! When I listen to rap music I get this swagger like I'm mean and it's me against the world. When I listen to heavy metal I go in the gym and lift the roof off of it. When I listen to Gospel I feel warm and mature and able to handle the weapons formed against me and I'm able to see that we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities. When I listen to songs by the Carpenters or Chicago I just get real relaxed. When I listen to Prince I get real sexual. So sure it does.

Music is huge in my life. I listen to it all day. Depending on what I'm doing and how I'm feeling I listen to different types of music. When I'm working out, I listen to different types of music for different excercises. When I have to get psyched out or get my mind off something I listen to something else. Music is huge and helps me with almost everything. I'm even more efficient with it.

I believe that music does have an effect in your life, it can be calming and elevating but unfoutunaltely today's days music is so full of sex, unfaithfulness, drugs, dirty words and the list goes on and on and on, that has more of a bad effect than a good one in our lives. Plus all the subliminal messages that are found in them. OH BE CAREFUL LITTLE EARS WHAT YOU HEAR!
