just get a bunch of emo type songs. Song that complain. Like "Home" by Three Days Grace or "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" by Green day.

I can't think of anything off of the top of my head, but if you understand the story, I would look for songs refering to being on your own or no one understands you, etc.
