anyone know about gaim?

Im having trouble with gaim it says its not connecting to host what can i do about it?

if it's not connecting to a host, something's wrong with either the network connection, or the username and password provided are not right, double check that the username and password you're using are correct and try again

That happened to me. I had to uninstall and reinstall it, make sure you hav GTK 2.69 and not lower I had 3. something and Gaim wouldn't connect.

try to fix it, maybe have bug.
