It's kind of like believing in ghosts; deep in their hearts, they don't WANT to believe that Elvis (or Granny or whoever) is dead, so...they don't believe it. They make up theories and such, and other people who feel as they do pick it up. Aslo, with famous people, they personally didn't see them bury him or see the corpse, so it's easier to believe it was a hoax.

I really do not know. It is like believing UFOs and little green men from mars. Believing in a holy spirit and many other things people think are when they are not. Very strange I think.

There were rumors and stuff for a long time after he died... i guess nobody really wanted to believe the king was dead.
