Don't make her feel bad, you will ruin her self-esteem. Talk to her nicely and tell her "Honey I think you are beautiful but I like the way you look before when you ate healthy, Try to exercise and eat healthier for me and for your self-esteem"

Be nice, if you tell her that she looks like a cow she is going to care less.

"A big Cow?" That's a bit harsh to be talking about your wife. If you want to really help her talk to her and say you are concerned about her health...that you love her no matter what but that you'd like her to be around long enough to enjoy a full life with her. The more you suggest diets, diet pills, and plans or ask her if she really needs that candy bar, the more she'll eat and the more she'll resent you.

If you continue suggesting things and continue calling her names such as "big cow" whether to her or behind her back (women can sense these things) she'll be better off leaving you...at least then she'll lose a good deal of weight--about 150+ pounds of you. Jeez.

By saying "My wife is turning into a cow," is this just a figure of speech.... or is she literally turning into a cow? Because if she's really turning into a cow, you should contact some scientist-types at your local university so they can study her, as well as make sure she's getting enough grass and feed each day. Good luck!

Unless she wants to lose weight you're screwed. She's probably depressed & you're wanting her to lose weight ( judging her, critisizing her, depressing her further ) isn't helping. She needs to talk to someone. Alot of people I know really liked weight watchers. But she has to take the first step by admiting she's upset & needs to do something about her health. What has changed in her life that has made her put the weight on in the first place? She needs to look at that. Good luck.......

Get a plan at the gym that both of you can use and go with her. It will be fun and a way to spend some time together. Tell her that you still love her and want her to be comfortable with her weight.

stop buying junk food if you buy it, I know that when I am on meds and depressed I tend to gain weight. do you guys have any children? if so maybe she feels tied down, maybe she needs a break. I have 6 children and believe me I need a break. Just talk to her and tell her how you feel, BE POSITIVE ABOUT IT NOT NEGATIVE. be romantic, go for walks, go out on a date, eat healthier, do things together, COMMUNICATE. and most inportant of all just LOVE HER. and why do you call her a cow? what do you look like?

ok first of all is she taking any medication pills? that may cause weight gain. second of all is she depressed? If you keep hounding her about her weight she may be shutting down, and thinking you don't love her no matter what weight she gains.
Try talking to her and getting out how she feels then go from there.

By setting a good example and taking the pills, doing the exercise yourself first. When you become a stud muffin.... she will probably want to keep up with you for the fear of maybe losing you to another? But what ever you want her to do, provide the example and do it first.

i can sympathize. i dont know the answer, but i can tell you something not to do. i spent $300 on an exercise machine for my wife ( a gazelle running device, tony somebody had infomercials), she used it about 3 times and for the last 2 years it has been sitting unused gathering dust and cobwebs. i am going to sell it.

Tell her you miss talking. Start a "romantic evening walk" to spend time together.... talk for a really long time...walk like 5 miles a night...the weight will begin to come off... (and she'll think you are bonding!!!)
