i wouldn't necessarily be alarmed at this point, however, i would recommend that you consult with a counselor. schizophrenia is highly hereditary. you are a first degree relative and it is much more likely that you could have schizophrenia than a non-relative. be cautious on who you talk with as schizophrenia is rather rare and it tends to be misdiagnosed. as for the noises, that is fairly normal, especially with your hearing loss. your mind is probably just playing tricks on you. hope this helps!

If it makes you feel better, go talk to a doctor. What you are describing sounds very mild to me, but then I am schizophrenic and I know how stark and persistent voices can become. I have been told by my doctors that it is normal for people to hear voices as they begin to fall asleep. I asked about it because I was afraid when it happened to me. So that should be one thing off your mind. I wish I could help more since I am sure the genetic factor concerns you.

It's strange that you only hear these things when you are alone. Do you have a problem with being alone?
Your hearing problem might have a lot to do with it. I really don't think you're going crazy. Being paranoid may be a result of your sister's illness.
You could check it out with a doctor or mental health clinic--or with an ear doctor. I hope that this stops very soon.

It might be your mind playing tricks on you. When on the computer late at night I keep hearing the door being opened suddenly but then noone is there. Strange... but it has to be the mind playing tricks.
And seeing as how you're ALONE! Fear tends to enter the life of the bravest even. No offence but I sometimes start thinking about ghosts and if i'm alone i'll rush out of the room... when fear comes in it's hard to get it out.

i imagine that's a stupid theory. He hasn't even began playing intense college ball yet. proper this second he will be a "guy adverse to boys" in junior intense yet what occurs if in intense college it with out caution will develop into "boy adverse to adult men". perchance his competition receives better appropriate or he would not boost as projected. There are way too many aspects that ought to replace in the subsequent 4 years of highschool. i imagine that's largely a publicity stunt by ability of Kentucky to get better celeb recruits. eighth grade is merely too youthful to be scouted for school ball.

I know exactly what you are talking about. I really do not think you are going crazy but if you are that worried you can always get a Catskan.....but really I think lots of people hear things that aren't there. I've got friends who don't want to look like lunatics so they don't mention it to people but later on will tell me they heard something....happens alot when your tired too...if it ever gets to full fledged conversations or very distinct sentences then definitely go see a doctor. Don't worry about it.....

hearing things in and of itself is fairly normal... but being profoundly afraid is good cause to see a counselor.
With your history it couldn't hurt. Medication is not always needed... sometimes you just need to develop coping tools.
I hear things then I ROAR like a lion... they go away and I am no longer scared. Of course, my buddies get a little freaked out but there's no one they'd rather have on guard duty at night. ^^
Please do talk to someone, don't be afraid to just say you are concerned about something and PLEASE don't be afraid of being crazy... it can have it's advantages.
