People say that we are bored for asking stupid questions so they report us... how bored do you have to be to just sit around and report minor violations?

I don't "go around reporting people," but I do report abuse. If you don't like the rules of the site, then go elsewhere. There is a lot of discussion on Answers that isn't within the rules set up by the Administration. People who don't want to and are unwilling to go by the rules need to be warned and kicked off, just as law breakers are taken to court for trial and punishment for not obeying society's rules. If you're an abuser, expect what you get.

I have no idea. I got a violation for the same reason, it's stupid. Some people just have to much time on their hands.

I don't know that it is the case of people "liking" to report others. Have you read the community guidelines? It is insulting to others and makes a mockery of the intent of the Answers forum not to follow them. Besides, it is civilized and good manners to follow the guidelines. You are a civilized person with good manners aren't you?

Rules are in place for a reason and when someone obviously disrespects them, it is like disrespecting the entire community. Plus, sometimes people are just too stupid for their own good and their idiotic questions or answers removed from the board.

I got it for calling some one an idiot for being rude[can't say more about it I am on the edge!] Think I will print them all out and paper my spare room with them!

some people do not have anything better to do than going around and reporting people - they just need to get a different hobby

I think it's because they hae no life and enjoy seeing other people get into trouble. They are probab;y all 15 and under. forget them
