There are definitely things that I miss about the 70s, like my innocence (I came of age early in the decade), the freedom of the clothing (I was in high school when they made it okay for girls to wear pants to school), the cheaper gas (we swore if it went to fifty cents a gallon that we'd quit driving), the music absolutely (but I can still listen to that), my children being babies in my arms, Atari games, the CB radio craze, the Vietnam War ending.....
But there are things I don't miss even a little bit, like my brothers and my friends going off to fight in Vietnam, and having to listen to the Watergate crap 24 hours a day, and sitting in line for hours to fill your gas tank, and Disco, and Polyester, and the double-nickel speed limit nationwide...
So there's nostalgia, but there is reality, too.

I didn't actually experience the 70's so I can't truthfully answer this question, but what I DO miss is the good music that came from the 60's and 70's. What has happened since then? Music has gone downhill! I can't even listen to the radio because everything sounds exactly alike and so hateful! We could really use a blast from the past, at least in the music area...:o)

I don't remember the 70's but that's because I wasn't born until October of '78.

Yes, I lived for the saturday morning cartoons and the friday night premiere show. now toons mostly suck. Thank God for Family Guy, South Park, Stand Alone Ghost In the Machine and most of adult swim.
Eight track machines were only fun for sado masochists, college was only a few grand even Harvard! Rap was underground where it belonged, grunge didn't even exist and all you heard was ROCK.
