If so, did you like it? How is the nightlife? Would you say it is better than America?

The nightlife in Tokyo is better than in any American city I can think of. Of course, you have to go to the right areas and also keep in mind that the trains in Tokyo stop around midnight.

Options range from your typical bars and dives to hostess bars to dance clubs to other, more weird stuff. The actions starts from early evening and lasts all through the night with some places not evening opening until 4 or 5 am.

I would recommend the Roppongi District which is more foreigner-friendly. Kabuki-cho is a more riske area that also has some serious night life going on.

Hope this helps.

JAPAN KICKS!!!

Besides the fact that the night life in USA is extremely boring, Japanese night life is really great!!!

It is not quite true that the nightlife is better in Japan than anywhere I've ever been. For example, Mediteranean coast (Italy, France, Spain, Croatia, Malta), or even more northern Europe have a really wild night life, but still, Japanese people have that talent too. Sometimes it might look awkward a little, because they like to scream all night long when dancing, but after a while one can get used on it, it's jst the way to vent out their feelings...

In Tokyo, there is always 24/7 something to do whether it be clubbing, all night video gaming, chasing the opposite sex, dancing, or whatever. Shinjuku and Roppongi kick ***, and Shibuya is also close.

So, you gotta see it. Go for it!!

Have fun!

I grew up there. The nightlife is better in Japan than anywhere I've ever been. There is always something to do whether it be clubbing, all night video gaming, or whatever. Shinjuku and Shibuya are the best. It depends on what you are interested in.
