not always it depends how she carries herself if she hangs on men and acts like a whore - it does not matter what she wears she will be treated as a whore

I don't follow Sheikhs or fatwas. Wearing abaya in USA, depending on where you are located, causes more attention than wearing Western clothing. Especially if you live in the Conservative Bible Belt of the South. Maybe in Dearborn, MI (I wouldn't mind living there), or a Muslim majority area a woman could wear abaya and not be looked at twice, but in general Americans stare at you if you look different. Not all the blame should be placed on the women. What about in Egypt where the Muslim women who wear hijab and abaya get sexually harassed on the streets? How does that Sheikh define that reason of logic? Men need to be accountable for not lowering their gaze as well as women not lowering their gaze. In some jobs, women are required to wear a skirt and blouse (like women lawyers or women business people). A employer of a Muslim has the right to dictate the dress for its male and female employees and can refuse to hire anybody who does not follow the dress code of the company.

Modest is the Hotest... I know it gain respect because it shows that u can mature. and whoever doesnt give respect is not mature and u can see the way they act. Today i see immodest is getting more and more popular, which is not good.

the way a woman dresses and carries herself is the way men will treat her. be respectful of yourself and others and you will get respect back that doesn't mean you have cover up completely. if you show booty then hey that's the first thought a man will have.

Despite what I would like, yes, I think it's viewed as unattractive to most men if you dress like you should. I think for good, Christian guys, though, they treat you with a lot of respect...or should. Yeah...

Dressing modestly but neatly is more appreciated by men that the latest fashion trends per most of my peers. The new look to actually waer lingerie to work is disgusting . Puts yourself on display. As if you are asking "please notice me and my clothes are the only way I have to get you too notice me'

I started wearing a tie to work age 40 and people started holding open doors for me. I've never understood it myself but there is something in it.

It's good to be modest. Leave some things to the imagination. Your statement is correct.

I think so - you're providing another reason for people to give you attention. If you're showing cleavage and talking to guys, they'll be looking down your top. If you're covered, they might actually be listening.
