Do you not have faith in the fact that ground is under you?
Those of you who claim to not have faith in anything are flat out nuts?

In a sense faith always has a religious context. Having faith in the fact that the ground is under you could be looked at as having faith that God's creation is real or faith that the invisible qualities of this universe that cause matter to hold together are based upon some supernatural force.

On the other hand, having faith that the chair you are going to sit down in will hold your weight could be said to be faith based upon past experience and not really have a religious context to it. Although the above arguments could still be used if someone really wanted to press them.

But I have to admit to being amazed when atheists or evolutionists claim that their beliefs have nothing to do with "faith". Many of them say that their beliefs are based upon scientific facts and therefore faith doesn't enter into the equation.

In my opinion that is definitely a shortsighted view that demonstrates a willing ignorance of what it means to have faith. They have to have faith that the conclusions they have draw from selected "facts" support their conclusions and claiming to believe that random forces transformed an amoeba type creature into every vastly complex life form on this planet is far more faith than I could muster.

Here is what the King James Bible has to say about faith. This is coming from the Book of Hebrews in the New Testament.

HEBREWS CHAPTER 11 VERSE 1.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Belief that does not rest on logical proof or theological evidence.
Although it is the opposite of reason, belief that is based on proof and evidence, faith is not limited to the religious and theological arenas. It takes a certain amount of faith to trust causality and repeatability (refer to Hume's philosophy), two fundamental principles that scientific research is based on.
It requires just as much faith to say for certain that there is no god as it does to say there is one, perhaps even more since there is no 2000 year old book to base your arguments on.
Any beliefs that are not 100% supported by facts and evidence. This includes religious beliefs, hope for the future, and trust in other people as well as trust in the truthfulness of scientific theories.
Where there is doubt, faith is needed.

From what I study on a Jewish website, once you've been born a Jew, you are able to in no way lose your "Jewishness." So in case you've been born a Jew and abruptly make sure to develop right into a Buddhist, a Muslim, a Christian or perhaps an atheist, you'll nonetheless be a Jew. easily there are a number of atheistic Jews contained in the international. in undeniable actuality that you will be a Jew through blood and/or through faith. yet in case you've been born a Jew, you are able to in no way stop to be a Jew -- you are able to stop to be an element of a religious team, yet you won't be able to stop to be a member of an ethnic team. A Christian is a religious human being who believes Jesus is the Christ. A Muslim is a believer in Islam. yet a Jew isn't unavoidably a believer in Judaism via 2 meanings of the note "Jew": a million. a religious human being who believes in Judaism. 2. someone belonging to the global team claiming descent from Jacob. To be instantly ahead, each actual non secular human being believes they have the reality. Christians believe Jews and Muslims are incorrect. Jews believe Christians and Muslims are incorrect. Muslims believe Jews and Christians are incorrect. Atheists believe that (different) non secular each body is insane. see you later as they don't compel you to renowned their beliefs, ignore about Messianic Jews because exceedingly a lot each body else yet they thinks they're incorrect. And if some Jews make sure to remodel to their faith, how is it wronger than in the journey that they develop into atheists and make sure that those who remember on Yahweh are insane?
