Some of the reason may have to do with factors at the time you were born, such as what sign the moon was in and if any planets were in retrograde. You weren't born close enough to the date for Aquarius to claim that part of your personality was from being born on a cusp(which I believe is three days on either side). Really, it's also important to remember that we are not all made like cookies with a cookie cutter. Not everyone will share all the traits of their sign. I, for instance, am a Capricorn as well, but I'm very emotional and love the artsy side of life as much as the practical side.

have you looked up your rising sign? I'm a pisces/virgo and have 0 creative ability but I have virgo leanings. Also. try not to put too much stock in astrology, it's an interesting pastime but there's more compelling reasons why we are the way we are. Look at your parents and grandparents and so on. Who in your family acts the most like you? I'd look more to your family tree than the stars. Peace!

it probably depends on your rising sign. I'm a Capricorn, too (born jan 5th) but i'm more like a Pisces because i have this strong Pisces ascendant (or rising sign). Have you tried to check it?

people born within 1 week of a sign change have characteristics of both the signs,so u cud have aquarian traits.then,ur moonsign & ascendant influence ur personality.find out about them and u'll know ur complete personality.

All horoscopes are generic. You can't act "opposite" of your zodiac. You just don't like the words they use to describe you. However, all the qualities of all the zodiacs are pretty much the same just with different words. :)
