Sounds like you may need an anti-inflammatory as well as a pain releiver. If you are an adult, over 18, you can take Aleve every 4 hours, and Tylenol every 2 hours. I did this for muscle spasms and it's the only way I survived until I saw the doctor. You may also want to try moist heat....heating pad.

I am glad you are seeing a doctor. This may not be a simple cramp. My suggestion is to soak in very warm water. If it is a cramp, that will help relax the mussel. You might also try wrapping it with an ace bandage. That will give it support if you have strained the ligament.Other than that,I don't know what to tell you.

Take a glass of boiled milk with a pinch turmeric at night for any injury. It helps heal faster. Also you could wrap cotton soaked in hot oil with turmeric in it on the spot for relief. Turmeric has some fantastic healing properties. Do see a doctor though. Accupuncture and accupressure is also helpful for pain relief.
Get well soon

Try soaking it in epsom salts in really hot water for about 15 minutes every 4-5 hours if you can that much. Also, try Advil instead of Tylenol. Works better for muscle/cramp type pain. It's for inflammation. Hope this helps. I HATE PAIN TOO!!!

Can't you get in to see someone earlier? It seems unusual to have a cramp that long... if it is a cramp then you are probably low in potassium, eat a banana which is rich in potassium and see if that helps. Otherwise i would suggest getting an appointment somewhere else that is earlier. Good Luck

It sounds alot like a stone bruise to me. If that is what it is then all you can do is try not to walk on it and it will take a couple weeks to go away.

mind over matter... i know it's weird... but it works. try not to focus on your foot. and if it's been a week, it can't be a cramp... see if you can go to the doctor earlier and have it checked.
