Which type of tree draws in the most radiation, and which type should we plant for most protection?

Some trees attract radiation from the atmosphere more than others. With concern for depletion of the ozone, I wonder which trees to plant around my house for protection, and which to avoid. Do you know? I live halfway between the equator and North pole, 100 miles from the ocean.

I am not sure if this is what you are asking but as far a thermal radiation pine trees attract and hold more thermal radiation than any other tree that I know of.

I have never heard this. Where did you get this information. I would check into it before I started worrying about it, because it doesn't sound right to me.
