Sprays, bombs, traps, etc (by themselves) won't work. You need to get to the source to get rid of the problem.

Your best bet to rid yourself of an infestation is to call a good exterminator...they will know, or be able to find, the nests and destroy them. To do it by yourself is very time consuming and can be quite hard.

I also heard ants can't cross lines of chalk cause they lose their sense of direction when they reach the chalk particles; salt, chile pepper, paprika, all have the same effect. But this can be very messy obviously lol.

In a 16 oz. spray bottle add 1 cup rubbing alcohol and 2 tablespoons of liquid dish detergent, and fill the rest with water. Gently mix so not to cause too many suds, and then soak a paper towel with the formula and place in the area where you think the ants are coming from. They should be gone within a couple of days. This works and it's also a non-toxic, non-chemical method that's safe!

If the ants are just moving in a straight line, they are migrating. Wait a day or two and they will be gone. if that is not the case, you will need to find the nest and destroy it

If you can find where they are coming such as a window sill, cover it with lemon juice (I used bottled). It got rid of my ant problem.
