Many plants, especially those that aren't native do not grow easily. Others are amazingly resilient. The seeds of some varieties of morning glory can be viable for over 50 years. Grains are known to grow from the feces of cows and other herbivores.

Of course, Murphy's law would indicate that only the plants you don't want to grow will grow...
