I have placed a lien upon some livestock that I have fed for 20 months. The lien has been foreclosed on. Now am trying to get "title" to the animals as they are registered. The recorded owner is now challening my lien 90 days after foreclosure. I am not sure what this means or the steps that will be gone through. How long does it take, etc.

If you have already forclosed on the lien and have an order from the court, the terms of the order should spell out the procedure for taking title and possession. There is in most jurisdictions a procedure for attacking judgment based on fraud or mistake. Individuals who attempting this usually did not respond in the original proceedings. If they did participate, then it is very unlikely that the judge will hear their case. If they did not then they will have to have a very good reason why they did not respond and some type of meritorious defense. The time this is going to take depends on the jurisdiction you are in, You may want to call the clerk of court and inquire when the case will likely be called for trial.
