For and against are sort of givens once you have one or the other. If you fight for love, then you're probably against hate, etc.

Personally, I wish people would fight for a flat tax. I'm sick and tired of getting taxed upon tax upon tax with deductions for the rich and poor and stick it to the middle class.

I wish people would fight to get our freedoms back. They're disappearing - and quickly.

I wish people would fight to get democracy back in the hands of the people instead of the elected representatives. How many elected representatives are not being persuaded by the big money.. come on, the entire nation is going to pot because of corporate greed and crooked officials.

If we didn't have such a socialistic society., we could fight for prostitution and legalize gambling everywhere. We could be one big freaking Las Vegas. Hail yeah!

I fight for acceptance of everyone, regardless of body shape, height, color, etc. I fight against the humiliation and degradation that is caused by those ignorant people thinking they are superior to everyone else just because they think they look "so hot". You really aren't a good human being if you bring someone to tears just because they aren't model perfect. There is no such thing as a perfect human being!

Isn't it odd? About forty people have answered your question, some alarmingly calloused and others refreshingly candid.

So they're all sitting there at their computers "fighting" for whatever it is they believe in...truth, justice and the American Way!

Bull!

Thomas Jefferson once said: "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants." THAT TIME IS WAY OVER DUE!!

It's time for us to get off the couch, put down the remote, and take back our democracy - you know, the one our founding fathers actually "fought" for! It's time for a second American Revolution.

Oh yes, some bambi-pambi will cry, "That's what we have the voting booth for!" Bull!

You vote the crooked Republicans out and replace tham with crooked Democrats. It's time Americans put an end to the stranglehold these two "parties" have on our political system.

Politicians have long ago discovered that most of us are like lazy lobsters languishing in a pot of lukewarm water. Aahhhh...it's so comfortable. We've got our maxxed-out credit cards; $3.00-a-gallon fuel for our$60,000 SUVs; our People magazine with all the news about Britney Spears' baby; "low prices - everyday" at WalMart where we can buy all kinds of junk we don't need; and a computer that allows us to find out what yesterday's baseball scores were without even having to bend over to pick up the newspaper plopped on our front porch.

Life is good...

Until the pot starts boiling over and we all let out a collective scream of agony as a direct result of our own apathy.

Suddenly we realize our grandkids and great-grandkids will be paying off a trillion-dollar debt this "war on terrorism" has cost the American taxpayers.

And the environment's gone to hell thanks to failed government policies over the years that favored big business and the oil industry over the life of coral reef (yes, it's a marine animal), fish, wildlife, agricultural farmlands, caribou, and the Amazon rainforests. But - hey! - McDonald's needs to cut down that timber so it can raise more cattle so we can buy cheap BigMacs!

The Republicrats have made it easy for us to resist fighting. After all, it's only our way of life and our freedoms that might be a t stake. It's not like we've neglected to watch reruns of "The Simpsons" for God's sake. -RKO- 07/02/06

I fight for truth, for fairplay. I fight against all kind of evil, including Darwinian lies.

In the Beginning God created heavens and earth.
God gives you air to breathe and sunshine to enjoy.
God gives you water to drink and food to eat.
God gives you a wonderful body and sound mind, to live.
God loves you, and you are precious to Him.
Son of God died on the Cross to save us from condemnation.
Jesus’ love is boundless and everlasting.
We have the hope of Heaven through Jesus.
Life therefore has fantastic and glorious future!

I fight for the right to choose to have an abortion, that Harry potter is not demonic and for literacy in schools.
I fight against war and idiots who believe that war is right even though the humans who die in them are already in the world unlike the babies that are aborted.
