white stuff is supposed to come out... you should squeeze it so that more comes out and it can heal faster thats what i did to mine... but make sure u clean it after so it doesnt get infected.. its going to be red for a while right after you get it. epson salt is supposed 2 help the pain though
the white stuff shouldnt come out for a long time tho.. mine didnt... buuuut yeahh.. just keep cleaning it.. dont play with it and stuff... and if you really think its infected go to a professional body piercing place and ask them their opinion

I have one. When I got mine done I was 21. It was red for about a week, but it didn't have anything come out of it. The instructions I was given were to: clean it with a lotion soap 3 times a day. After each time I clean it soak it in some warm sea salt. Sea salt helps speed up the healing proses. All you need is a cap from a coke bottle. Be sure you clean it well with antibacterial soap. Put warm water in it, and then put enough sea salt in it that it's white and cloudy. Then put it over your navel the best you can without spilling it. Hold it there for 15 minutes. Just keep as clean as possible. It should get better.

Dont take out your ring!!!!!! the white stuff is puss. Sorry girl, that is not a great sign. My question for you is, what are you cleaning it with? I have had more than my share of piercings and cleaned all but 1 with something called bactine. The one time I didn't use it, my piercing was doing what yours is. So, if you aren't using bactine, I would reccomend getting some. Also, make sure you wash your hands before you touch your ring! Germs are on your hands and you dont want them in your piercing! If you are using something like bactine, make sure you are putting it on a Q-tip to apply, and that will help to clean the dry blood off. If you are going to switch it will take a little time to start the healing, but lucky for you, bactine also to helps decrease pain. Whatever you do though, do not take your jewelry out! Thant may cause you hole to close up around the infection and that is much much worse!

It is definitely infected. You need to read up about what you are cleaning it with. Some piercing cleaners work better than others, it is a very individual thing. Also, the type of metal the ring is made from could be the culprit. I suggest you try another type of cleaner and possibly another type of metal. Hypoallergenic doesn't guarantee you won't be allergic by the way.
Good luck and enjoy this piece of jewlery, I envy a woman who can pull those off!
