I think that straight women are braver than I because I just can't see myself being able to deal with a man in a romantic way on a day to day basis without wanting to shoot myself...so I have nothing but respect for them!

Whoa, slow down. No, no they don't hate gay men in general. I guess some do, but then it's probably on religious grounds or because the guy did something wrong to them. Women actually tend to like gay men because they're more like the girls in a way. And also because they don't have to worry about the friendship turning into more than that.

I've got no problem at all with straight women. I'm not gay, but bisexual, and I've noticed here where I lie that the gay women are totally frigid. They stick to themselves. They tell me I look too straight, that I'm confused, and basically ignore me.
Guys, on tehother ahnd, love to ask me out--when I'm at gay bars, even the gay guys hit on me! ("I may not be miss right, but I may be miss tonight!") The girls, on the other hand . . . I've been asked out twice by women in the five years I've been going to the clubs :( It seems like everyone likes butches and I guess I'm just too feminine.

Some women (gay and straight) are aloof or stuck up or shy or snotty... especially to people who are different from them. Some are afraid that other people will judge them or act in one of those ways. Others are just not in the mood to meet new people that day. It depends on the person.

It was most likely that they were just a group of friends. People operate in clicks a lot of the time, it takes a while to wiggle oneself into any group.
I don't think there are very many heterophobic people out there, so its probably not that.

Lesbians are quite anxious to have sex with any and every woman they see - they were just waiting for you to turn your back so they could pounce.
No, really. I don't know. Maybe they all had some really deep conversations going. I doubt they ignored you because they weren't straight.

Sometimes it's awkward. I recently came out to two ladies at work. One is close to my age and we really get along great. But I've had to reiterate on numerous occasions that there is NO ONE in my office that I'm even remotely attracted to. Not that this one co-worker feels like I'm hitting on her. It's not like that but sometimes I feel obligated to remind them that I'm SOOOO not interested in anyone here at this office. Not only that but I am in a very committed relationship. It's awkward sometimes. I lost my best friend of 16 years when she found out!!!!

My partner and I noticed this the other day. It is strange...maybe they think we're going to hit on them? I don't know what their deal is.
