Unfortunately, the biases and stereotyping that occurred way back when still affects many people today. Many people are ignorant of the fact that people who are of different races are not always of the stereotype of that race. It doesn't matter what race you are, it's what type of person you are on the inside that counts. People who still base their judgements on what is on the outside are shallow and ignorant. I believe that it doesn't matter who you date, as long as you are treated with love and respect and respect and love the other person in return. Who cares what anyone else thinks? As long as you are happy, that's all that matters.

Some people will never get it, that's a fact. My cousin married a black girl, and our entire family (and hers) was welcoming and treated her just like we would have a white girl, because they loved each other & she was good for him. They have a really good marriage, and a beautiful child. I have a friend who married a black man, his family would not accept her, and always treated her as an outsider. I think that this is something time will cure; as the old folks (of all races) pass on, their prejudices will pass on with them. I think we're all headed towards an interracial future, and that's a good thing, one less thing to argue about.

personally I see nothing wrong with it, my sister is white and her husband is from india. But to answer your question, the older generations grew up with the prejudice, and passed it on to their kids, most of us are products of the environment we grew up in and if you grow up in a prejudice environment than more then likely you will also take on the trait, or they simply go the other way like me.. I grew up within a prejudice family and saw how wrong it was and I decided for myself I wasnt going to be that way. I married a white guy and I am also white but if I wasnt and someone from a different race asked me out I wouldnt turn them down based on their color... Some people are ignorant, or just down right mean but if you think about it most americans today aren't all white all black all native american... Alot of us are mixed somewhere down the line, So it doesnt matter to me.

generations and generations of ignorance. Before that it wsn't like this. You have to remember that everyone was speaking one language at one time. God separated the language thing because everyone started thinking only of themselves and started to forget about God. If you have come full circle and have found your way back to God then I don't think it matters who you love as long as you put God first in your life. If you have fouond Him , then love is what matters most to Him not the color of the person. If color was the issue then why did He teach us how to mix colors? for instance, if you mix red with white what color do you get? Pink right? Isn't that a beautiful color? You don't have to be like that though, you can change what you don't think is right. But before you do that make sure it isn't right before you do that. Sometimes people are scared of the other colored people because they don't understand them. And years and years of prejudice does that to a person and to whoever they teach this to. Usually it's their own kids and they grow up to be the spitting image of their father or mother. Fear. Fear, fear.

Let's be real have you heard of Emmet Till just 50 years ago. People are still living from that generation and not a long long long long time ago, as if these things happen in ancient times. Lets be real anyone who believes in what they believe in can always justify their beliefs.

Is it really? Don't take this as a bash, its not meant that way. But ask yourself why are we different. Because God made us that way. So shouldn't we honor His creation and not try to change things. When you have children of mixed races, it changes His whole process. Something to think about seriously, and its not racism. Its reality. Peace.

Because it IS NOT O.K. It's WRONG!
Why is it so hard for people to understand that the hardships and turmoil you put children of mixed race through is WRONG!
Dating and marring outside your race is WRONG!!!!

Ignorance and generations of bigotry and brainwashing. Sorry about the harshness but that is pretty much it - plain and simple.
I'm lucky enough to live in a very liberal region and had very open minded parents.

The very thought of inter-racial dating is nauseating. How confused a person must be to date outside their own species!
