It all depends on the reason for the need of reconciliation. Even so, here are a few things to keep in mind:
1. Be honest. Whatever caused your problem, both of you need to be honest about what has happened, how it affected both of you, and what you're each willing to do to resolve it.
2. Be respectful. Ranting, raving, arguing and name-calling serve no useful purpose if you're trying to repair a relationship. You must be respectful of your wife's response, whatever it may be.
3. Be patient. It took time for your relationship to evolve. It takes time to repair. Speak your mind and let her speak her own mind. Don't worry if it takes days or weeks and multiple conversations. As long as you are still communicating in some fashion, you're on the right track.

Try to be friends with her and get to know her all over again. See if she is willing to work on the marriage and go to marriage counseling with you. You are not very clear on details here. What caused the seperation or divorce to begin with and why are you not together right now?

Be honest with her, even if it something she may not want to hear. Once she realizes you are opening up and being honest with her, she may be willing to talk.
Good Luck!

Apologize, tell her you love her and you want to talk. And if you need it, suggest counseling together.

Let her go. If she still loved you, you'd know it.
