You will have to check your insurance policy. Health insurance does not exclude injuries from dangerous sports, but some life/accident insurance policies may exclude these types of activity, or they will jack up your rates if they discover you do thiese things.

Read your policy well and ask your insurance company.
Things that they don't cover are often hidden in the small print.
Extreme sports and specially when you think of doing it on a regular bases often requires extra coverage.
