OK here we go! Imagine a large rectangular pizza dough all rolled out real thin, you put your cheese and what ever toppings (usually cold cuts-salami and pepperoni, or sausage) but could be vegan. Like portabello's. Ok? So you got a square pizza, right. Now Take one end an fold the whole side over about an inch. Then you continue to roll it over and over to create a swirl, not at all unlike making cinnamon rolls. When you reach the end you brush the outside with olive oil and place it seam side down on your pizza stone and bake for the # of minutes the recipe calls for which is determined by the size of your roll. You typically serve it with a side of pizza sauce for dipping. Click the link below I think that might give you the idea better. Worth a 1000 words they say!

Depends on where you are. Most places it's like a pizza turnover. Other places it's like a pizza without sauce that's rollup up and sliced into pieces.
