Well, I went out and interviewed a few various animals, here's what they had to say:

Me: Hello, could you tell me what you dream about?
Horse: Ah, well, I sometimes dream about being a pony and not treading in the muck so much, last night I dreamt I was at Ascot, I'm getting on a bit now you know, so my racing days are over, I hid from people so they'd stop racing me, I really am Red Rum you know, yes, that's it, I am. I'm going to sleep now, goodnight.
Me: Goodnight.

ME: Hello, would you please tell me what you dream about?
Magpie: Ah, yes, I dream about shiny things, that's about it, oh and I dream that I'm flying, it's a funny thing that, dreaming that you're flying.
ME: OK thank you Mr. Magpie.

ME: Hello, would you please tell me what you dream about?
Master Yodas dog: Eating humans muhahahahahahah erm, nope, pretend I didn't say that, well, I dream about bones and stuff.
ME: OK thank you.

Unfortunately, we can never truly experience another organism's experiences and emotions, but it's safe to assume from studying them and from us for example, 'dreaming' as we do, that they do actually have them. What they are actually dreaming about specifically can only be inferred. Based on what we as humans dream (life experiences, movement, etc), we can only assume they dream the same things... Hope that helps.

My dog used to dream of running and running and running. Maybe he also dreamt of rabbits but he was a bit scared of them, so that might have been a nightmare for him.

Actually, I think dogs dream in smellyvision just as we dream in colour.

I think they dream the same things we do. Fears, happiness, past events, etc. THey are just equivilant to their situation. I know my last cat dreamed for sure. I remember sometimes he had a smile on his face or sometimes it looked like he was scared.

I don't know but by dog always has dreams and his legs of flying back and forth like he is running and sometimes he is whimpering, and sometimes his heart is racing or something like he is excited or something. Well He is fixed so I guess he can only dream about it.

My dog must dream about ripping people to shreds, because sometimes after he's had a particularly good nap, he looks at me with this weird look. Reminds me of Cujo.

All sort of things.

Lately, we can tell that my cat is dreaming about frogs. Or butterflies. She keeps moving her claws trying to catch them. And keeps calling them, or complains when she misses.

I love looking at my cat when she sleeps. Better than Star Wars.
