You bought them, did you not? Did you intend for him to actually wear them, or were they purchased to act as closet decor?

I just want to be the devils advocate here, no, dont let him wear the sandles to the ball park so he can complain about having to wear sneakers the whole time and ruin the game for yourself as well as him which could possible have you miss a top play or a rare inside the park grand slam or a pitcher getting knocked out by a ball or jeter choking on a sparerib. Does it actually matter if he has sandles on, no, why would that question be even closely relevant to baseball?

I do not see anything wrong with him wearing sandals, as long as he is comfortable in them

It really doesn't matter what he wears to watch a ballgame, what matters is that he has FUN!
Unless he's PLAYING in the game. If he's playing, he needs cleats or at the least, sneakers.

unless he was playing there's nothing wrong with it.
If he were playing buy the little basstard some cleats and if he asks to play in sandals again tell him no.

I wear flip-flops all the time to games. He might get beer spilled on his feet, but feet are easier to clean than shoes.
