Does anyone know how to get mildew stains out of a blue Under Armour shirt? There was a wet towel on it for about four days, and I am desperate for some ways to get it out!

I really didn't know that mildew could be removed from colored fabrics, however I found this advice online:

Items that are white or colorfast can be washed with chlorine bleach, which is the most effective mildew remover. Otherwise, soak the clothing in warm, soapy water and borax. If that still doesn't produce results, combine 1/4 teaspoon of bleach for colored clothing (oxygen, not chlorine bleach) and 1/4 cup of three-percent hydrogen peroxide (the kind used for medicinal purposes, not for bleaching hair). With a clean cloth, gently rub the stain until it's gone. Launder the garment and dry in the sun if possible.

You might try Sol-U-Mel, from a company called Melaleuca. You have to get it online, but if used straight- not diluted- it will take almost anything out of anything. I got hair dye out of an off-white tee shirt, mildew/mold off my ceiling, and there's a whole list of other uses for it. Email me if you want more info about it. I've never found anything else that will remove mildew from clothing. patti

Viola, scent is lengthy gone and prepared for the dryer. wish this helps.. good success!! (If it doesn't take the scent out all the way, use more effective A&H next time. i imagine it relies upon on the hardness of your water. after we lived in CO I in no way had to apply A&H, In enormous apple I had to apply about a cup and the following in NV I in undemanding words ought to apply about 1/2 a cup to do the pastime.)
